Chris Brown and Rihanna Talking Again
Drake is doing a lot of disclosing in a new podcast interview for Rap Radar. In a lengthy chat with hosts Elliott Wilson and Brian "B.Dot" Miller totaling more than than two hours, the Canadian rapper touched on his relationships — adept and bad — with some of the biggest names in music: Pusha T, Kanye West, Jay-Z and his old flame, Rihanna.
Collaborators on tracks similar "What'due south My Name?" and "Take Care," the pair have also enjoyed a long on-off romance, and were nearly recently linked in 2016, the twelvemonth they released "Work" and "Too Good." Dark-brown — whose June unmarried "No Guidance" features an appearance by Drake — famously dated Rihanna in the late 2000s. In Feb 2009, the singer was arrested for assaulting his and then-girlfriend, who was photographed with visible injuries on her face up. Despite the backlash facing Brown, Rihanna briefly reunited with him in 2013, insisting to Rolling Rock that he was "not the monster everybody thinks." The singers broke upwards a few months later.
Drake has his own tumultuous background with Brown. Though the two men had collaborated on tracks before, their relationship had soured by 2012. That year they were involved in a violent scuffle at a Manhattan nightclub, which left Brown with a gash to his mentum. Trash-talking — including a comment from Drake claiming that Chocolate-brown was threatened past him considering "at one indicate in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap" — ensued over the next few years.
The news that the stars had concluded their feud and hit the recording studio together gave many fans break, with some accusing Drake of betraying Rihanna'due south trust in the process.
According to his new Rap Radar interview, the rapper was besides worried that his piece of work with Brown would alienate their common ex.
"That person that was in the middle of us is no longer a office of either of our lives currently and I have the about utmost love and respect for her," Drake said. "I remember of her equally family more than annihilation. I felt, I actually had kind of a moment of hesitation before considering I didn't want her to ever experience disrespected past me linking up with him."
Ultimately, nonetheless, he has no regrets about reuniting with Chocolate-brown. He added that their feud seems "dizzy" in retrospect because "it was over a girl."
